> New York Governor Kathy Hochul has appointed Attorney General Letitia James as a special prosecutor to investigate allegations that a Cornell University student was drugged and raped by several men at a fraternity house. Hochul said she had lost faith in the Tompkins County district attorney’s handling of the case, which was reopened after a civil lawsuit brought the allegations into the national spotlight.
