> Iran-allied Houthi forces launched intense attacks across Taiz frontlines as they sought to build on last month’s gains along Yemen’s Red Sea coast. Government forces say they have held their positions and inflicted heavy losses. Air power, difficult terrain and the burden of defending expanded territory have so far prevented a wider Houthi breakthrough, leaving both sides contesting roads and supply lines.
