> Ethiopia announced the closure of its embassy in Eritrea and declared 10 Eritrean diplomats persona non grata, accusing them of activities posing a direct threat to national security. Addis Ababa said the move responded to Eritrea’s “direct and indirect acts of hostility and belligerence.” The decision followed reports of blasts at Ethiopia’s military headquarters, amid renewed heavy fighting in northern Ethiopia.
