> Christa Pike, a 50-year-old Tennessee woman convicted of murder three decades ago, survived two lethal-injection doses on Wednesday. She had been set to become the first woman executed in the southern US state in 200 years. After the botched execution, the governor halted the state’s remaining execution this year and ordered a “comprehensive review.”
