> Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Wednesday that the United States has reduced its number of generals and admirals by 20%, calling the move an accountability effort. He said the cuts targeted officers who did not support his push to focus the military on war-fighting rather than the “woke” policies of previous administrations.
