> Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs said Latvia’s laws would not prevent it from hosting nuclear weapons if NATO decided deployment was necessary, though no talks are currently underway. His remarks follow Britain’s proposal to extend its nuclear umbrella to Baltic and Nordic countries and Russia’s warning that it could use nuclear weapons if Kaliningrad were isolated.
