# Poll finds more than half of Americans back Democratic House control

> A Quinnipiac University poll found that 51% of respondents want Democrats to win a majority in the House after the midterm elections, compared with 39% who prefer Republicans. Thirty-four percent approved of Donald Trump’s policies, while 61% disapproved. The September 24–27 poll surveyed 1,032 registered voters and had an approximately 3.8-point margin of error.
