> Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a Venezuelan asylum seeker shot in the back by an ICE officer during a DoorDash delivery in Austin, Texas, has been charged with assaulting, resisting and impeding a federal officer. Prosecutors say he struck an officer with his car’s side mirror and tried to drive into him; Garces Perez disputes that account and says police opened fire after an SUV hit his car.
