> A wave of school protests across France led to 440 people, mostly minors, being detained on Tuesday, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said. Forty-eight law-enforcement personnel were injured and about 400 schools were affected. Students are protesting overcrowded classes and teacher shortages, while public-sector workers also demonstrated against planned budget cuts.
