> VTB, Russia’s second-largest lender, reported a 4% year-on-year decline in IFRS net profit to 314.8 billion rubles in January-August 2026. August profit rose 106.7% to 49.2 billion rubles. The bank attributed the results to stronger interest and fee income and a lower cost-to-income ratio.
