# Qatar warns US-Iran conflict threatens global economy

> Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed bin Mohammed Al-Ansari said the prolonged US-Iran armed conflict and regional instability could have grave consequences for the international economy. He noted that the Middle East supplies energy as well as urea, helium, petrochemicals and aluminum, warning that winter could make the effects more dangerous. The crisis has already reduced yields in vulnerable countries and prompted some regions to return to coal.
