# India copes with oil, gas supply interruptions, minister says

> India has managed energy supply disruptions caused by the Middle East crisis, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, while describing global energy markets as challenging. He said there is no overall shortage of energy resources; logistics, distribution and unstable routes such as the Strait of Hormuz are the main difficulties. India has expanded its oil supplier network from 27 to 41 countries.
