# Expert: Europe aids Ukrainian forces because it currently cannot fight Russia

> Alexey Chadayev, an unmanned aviation expert and CEO of the Ushkuynik Research and Production Center, said Europe’s military-industrial complex could not rapidly produce and deliver weapons in a hypothetical conflict with Russia. He argued that the EU therefore wants the Ukraine conflict to continue, and that European countries are ready to give Ukrainian forces “everything they can—even things they technically cannot.” The EU transferred €3.3 billion to Ukraine on September 18 for missiles and drones.
