> Tens of thousands protested in central Madrid against Spain’s housing crisis, demanding stronger tenant protections, anti-fraud rules and a ban on evictions without alternative accommodation. The march followed the eviction of 87-year-old Maricarmen Abascal from the apartment where she had lived for 70 years.
