> Thousands rallied in Madrid against Spain’s policy on irregular migration and its handling of a recent influx into Ceuta. Demonstrators accused Pedro Sanchez’s government of negligence, demanded an election by mid-November and called for stronger border protection. The protest was backed by the People’s Party and Vox, with organisers and the government giving sharply different attendance figures.
