> The eviction of 87-year-old Maricarmen Abascal prompted thousands to march through Madrid on Saturday, demanding stronger tenant protections. Anger over soaring housing costs is increasing pressure on centre-left Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, whose government is expected to approve pro-tenant measures at its next cabinet meeting.
