> Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has ordered a ban on sports betting and online casinos just over a week before the first round of the presidential election. Calling the industry a “cancer”, Lula said the measure targets addiction and losses suffered by Brazilian families. Congress must approve the order within 120 days. Flávio Bolsonaro called the crackdown populist and politically motivated.
