> The youth wing of India’s satirical Cockroach Janta Party says it will launch nationwide protests, beginning in Mumbai on October 2, unless Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns by Saturday. The demand follows a report linking him to altered voter lists, which opposition parties allege were changed to help Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP. The Election Commission denies wrongdoing, while the BJP calls the accusations a smear campaign.
