> UK foreign secretary Ed Miliband met Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi in New York as Iranian officials said Washington had four or five days to meet seven conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Iran warned that failure to comply would mean no reopening and no further negotiations, while diplomats reported no clear US-Iran breakthrough.
