# UK survivor of Canadian poison seller says he exploited her despair

> Elisabeth Belien told Kenneth Law’s sentencing hearing in Ontario that he sold her toxic chemicals when she was 23 and at her lowest point. She survived after receiving an antidote, but said she continues to experience trauma, shame and survivor’s guilt. Law has admitted 14 Canadian counts of aiding suicides; nearly 80 UK deaths have also been linked to him.
