# Houthis say more than 400 ships passed through Bab el-Mandeb in 10 days

> The Houthi-formed government’s Ministry of Transport and Public Works said 408 commercial vessels crossed the Bab el-Mandeb Strait from September 11 to 21, up from 393 in the previous 10-day period. It said international commercial navigation was proceeding smoothly and safely, except for Saudi Arabian ships, after Houthi forces took control of nearby western Yemeni areas.
