# ICC convicts former CAR rebel commander of crimes against humanity

> The International Criminal Court convicted former Seleka commander Mahamat Said Abdel Kani on four counts of crimes against humanity committed while he ran a detention center in Bangui in 2013. He was acquitted of three war-crimes charges. The sentence will come later and could be life imprisonment.
