# Trump: US studying tougher Russia sanctions law

> Donald Trump said the US administration is considering whether to use legislation tightening sanctions on Russian and Iranian oil and gas exports, calling it a “very severe bill.” He said he would probably discuss possible secondary sanctions on Russia’s trading partners with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The law allows tariffs of up to 100% on major buyers of Russian oil and gas and includes tougher measures against Iran.
