> An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in the face and neck at a home in Norwest, north-west Sydney. Police have not determined whether the shooting was accidental. The New South Wales government attacked the opposition’s pledge to scrap a planned gun buyback, while the opposition called for more policing and an inquiry into gun laws.
