> India’s Defense Ministry has signed a Rs 586-crore ($61 million) contract with Accurate Industrial Controls Private Limited to supply auxiliary power units for the army’s Soviet-designed T-72 and T-90 tanks. The ministry said the domestically developed systems will improve armored forces’ readiness, reliability and autonomy while advancing localization of critical subsystems.
