> Seven Ethiopian rebel groups have announced an alliance called the Alliance for Survival, saying they aim to remove the government in Addis Ababa and establish a transitional administration. The coalition includes Fano, the Oromo Liberation Army and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front. They accuse Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s government of presiding over war, genocide, mass destruction and extreme poverty. Federal authorities have not responded.
