# China opposes U.S. secondary tariffs on third countries

> China opposes what it calls secondary sanctions against third countries, a Commerce Ministry spokesperson said after the United States enacted the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. The law allows tariffs of up to 100% on goods from countries buying Russian crude oil or natural gas. Beijing said it would monitor U.S. measures and reserve the right to act.
