> Hong Kong held a state funeral for Tung Chee-hwa, its first leader after the handover, marking only the third time the city has granted the honour since 1997. Senior Chinese and Hong Kong officials attended. State media called Tung a “renowned patriot”, while critics recalled governance difficulties and lasting public discontent during his tenure.
