> Russia began voting Friday in a tightly controlled, three-day parliamentary election that President Vladimir Putin has portrayed as a test of support for the war in Ukraine. It is the first parliamentary election since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, while most anti-war candidates have been barred from the ballot.
