> Fighting has intensified between the Saudi-led coalition and Houthi forces in Yemen. Government forces reported coalition strikes on Houthi positions and drone attacks in Marib, while the Houthis claimed they shot down a Saudi F-15 and struck a Saudi airbase and oil facility. Saudi Arabia has asked France, Pakistan, Egypt and the UK for air-defence support as interceptor stocks dwindle. The US reaffirmed support for Yemen’s government and reportedly held direct talks with Houthi representatives in Oman.
