> U.S. Air Force Secretary Troy Meink said the Space Force has deployed space-control weapons in Earth orbit capable of defending against hostile action. Officials have acknowledged such a deployment for the first time, but Meink gave no details. Expert Victoria Samson said the system was likely space-based electronic warfare equipment rather than a kinetic weapon.
