> Yemen’s conflict escalated Sunday as government forces attacked Iran-backed Houthi rebels along the Red Sea, while the Houthis fired into neighboring Saudi Arabia, a supporter of Yemen’s government. Officials vowed to send more troops to the coast after the Houthis captured the port city of Mokha and an island in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait last week, a defeat one official called “painful.”
