> Iranian officials and state media have hailed the Houthis’ capture of Yemen’s Red Sea coast and the port of Mocha, saying the gains could give Tehran greater leverage against the United States. The Houthis have not declared Bab al-Mandeb closed, but their control of coastal areas and islands brings them closer to the vital shipping route.
