# Israel says it has destroyed major underground Hezbollah base

> The Israeli military says it used more than 1,000 tonnes of explosives to destroy two Hezbollah tunnels stretching over 2km beneath Lebanon’s Ali Taher Ridge. The US Geological Survey recorded seismic activity equivalent to a magnitude 4.1 earthquake. Hezbollah and Lebanon’s government have not publicly responded.
