> Reports say the Iran-backed Houthis have captured Yemen’s entire Red Sea coast, including the last coastal towns held by forces loyal to the internationally recognised government. Government sources and witnesses said fighters also reached Mayyun Island and took control of the Bab al-Mandeb area, though the Houthi government has not officially confirmed it. The advance gives the group leverage over a major alternative route to the Strait of Hormuz.
