> Amnesty International says Russia deceives and exploits foreign nationals to enlist them and send them to fight in Ukraine, practices that in many cases amount to human trafficking. The report says recruiters target people from low-income countries, misrepresent the work, threaten migrants with detention or deportation, and offer payments or citizenship that are rarely fulfilled. A Ukrainian official says the U.S. destroyed five Iranian oil tankers, three linked to Russia’s shadow fleet. Reuters also reports that NATO allies disrupted a covert Russian exercise near Svalbard involving technology intended to disable subsea cables.
