> Ukraine’s sanctions commissioner Vladyslav Vlasiuk said the U.S. military destroyed five Iranian crude oil tankers on Sept. 8, including three with direct links to Russia’s shadow fleet that had carried Russian oil. U.S. Central Command said the strikes responded to an attempted ballistic-missile attack by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on a U.S. Navy warship.
