> U.S. President Donald Trump called his Sept. 8 conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin about ending the war against Ukraine “great” and said Putin wants a deal. Trump blamed the lack of progress on Putin and Zelenskyy hating each other. Russian strikes continued across Ukraine, with an attack on a shopping and entertainment center in Sumy killing at least two people and injuring 20.
