> A source told the Kyiv Independent that a suspected Russian Shahed-type drone violating Moldovan and Romanian airspace on Sept. 8 nearly struck President Volodymyr Zelensky’s plane as it departed Moldova for Norway. The incursion prompted airspace closures, emergency alerts and NATO fighter scrambles, while its timing raised fears of a possible Russian assassination attempt.
