# US imposes sanctions on 35 companies supporting Iran’s aviation sector

> The United States added 35 legal entities and an Egyptian national to its Iran-related sanctions list. The targeted airlines and other air-transport companies are based in Iran, the UAE, the UK, Malaysia, Turkey and Kazakhstan. Washington also revoked authorization for US-made aircraft to remain temporarily in Iran and for related parts and repair technology to be supplied.
