> Germany’s gas and hydrogen storage association INES says gas reserves are at their lowest level for this point in 15 years and could run out during an extremely cold winter. Storage was at 53% of capacity in early September. The government sees no cause for panic, citing LNG terminals and pipeline supplies from Norway. Chancellor Friedrich Merz says he will remain in office after the AfD’s state election victory.
