> Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said negotiations with Oman on designating a temporary safe-passage route through the Strait of Hormuz have reached their final stage, with registration at the International Maritime Organization likely in coming days. Iran also warned South Korea against a military role in the waterway and said a Qatari delegation’s visit was part of de-escalation efforts.
