> Russia says it is revoking permission for the German Consulate General in St. Petersburg and closing German Goethe cultural centers in response to what Moscow calls Germany’s unfriendly actions. The consulate must stop operating by September 18, while Goethe center staff must leave Russia by September 13. Moscow says Berlin bears full responsibility for the escalation.
