> Belgium’s football federation has withdrawn its backing for Gianni Infantino’s bid for a fourth term as FIFA president. It cited FIFA’s handling of the reversal of Folarin Balogun’s red card during the 2026 World Cup and plans to invite private investment in future World Cups, saying both processes lacked transparency. Belgium is seeking explanations and has asked for the case to be discussed by the FIFA Council.
