> Sustained heavy rain caused cracks on mountain slopes in Heping Village, Suichuan County, Jiangxi Province, prompting an overnight evacuation of 169 residents from 87 households in three village groups. They were moved to temporary accommodation at a local senior care facility. A series of mudslides and landslides in Suichuan had earlier killed four people.
