> The far-right Alternative für Deutschland more than doubled its support in Saxony-Anhalt, with exit polls putting it at 44.4%, ahead of Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s CDU. Lead candidate Ulrich Siegmund thanked Elon Musk for his backing and welcomed stronger cooperation. France’s Europe minister called the result a “serious moment” and warned that nationalism and xenophobia would not solve Europe’s problems.
