> Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Vladimir Putin ordered Russian forces to refrain from striking Kyiv for three days from midnight on Sept. 6, linking the pause to preparations for Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s planned visit. The envoys arrived in Moscow for talks with Putin and are expected in Kyiv on Sept. 6. Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had earlier deliberately targeted airports in Kyiv and Boryspil.
