> Yemen’s government forces say they recaptured strategically important hills west of Taiz as heavy fighting with Houthi fighters entered a second day in western Taiz and southern Hodeidah. Sources report dozens of deaths on both sides, while a missile strike on a restaurant in al-Makha killed and injured civilians. The offensive is described as an attempt to gain ground toward the Red Sea port and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
