# China rejects U.S. narrative at G20 finance talks

> China says the United States circulated a misleading account blaming Beijing for the failure to issue a joint communiqué after the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting ended in Asheville on Sept. 1. It accused Washington of trying to pin global economic problems on China while overlooking its role in disrupting energy markets and restricting semiconductors, and called the communiqué biased against China.
