> Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has challenged Donald Trump’s oil deal with the interim government, saying the authorities occupying the Miraflores presidential palace lack a democratic mandate to negotiate the country’s natural resources. She said Venezuela’s underground wealth belongs to its people, not an “illegitimate regime”. Trump and interim president Delcy Rodríguez offered no date for elections.
